From Shiloh to Jerusalem From a Tent to a Temple

From Shiloh to Jerusalem From a Tent to a Temple

Step into the world of the Old Testament and follow the story of biblical Israel from the days of Joshua and Samuel to the rise of King David's Jerusalem.

We begin the day driving north of Jerusalem along the ancient Patriarchs' Road, passing through the region of biblical Gibeah, traditionally associated with Saul, the first king of Israel. Continuing through the biblical heartland, we pass by Bethel, one of the most important locations in the Hebrew Bible, where many significant biblical events took place.

Our journey then leads to Shiloh, the first spiritual center of the Israelites in the Promised Land and the place where the Tabernacle stood for 369 years. It was here that the tribes of Israel, led by Joshua, divided the land among themselves, and where some of the most important moments in early Jewish history unfolded.

Shiloh is also deeply connected to the story of Hannah, who prayed here for a son, and to Samuel the Prophet, who served the Lord at this sacred site and later anointed the first kings of Israel.

We then return toward Jerusalem for an in-depth visit to the City of David, the ancient core of biblical Jerusalem where King David conquered the Fortress of Zion and established his royal city.

Explore the fascinating archaeological remains of ancient Jerusalem while enjoying breathtaking panoramic views over the city, its surrounding mountains, and valleys. The visit includes the underground section of the City of David, featuring Warren's Shaft, the Gihon Spring — where Solomonwas anointed king — and the famous Hezekiah's Tunnel leading all the way to the Pool of Siloam.

From there, we continue through the newly excavated Pilgrimage Road, once filled with worshippers making their way up to the Temple in Jerusalem during biblical times.

The tour concludes at the Western Wall, the living testimony of Jewish historyand one of the holiest and most meaningful sites in the Jewish world.
