Terms & Conditions

1. Tour Bookings

Tour bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by Holy Land Steps. The details of the tour, including the date, approximate duration, meeting or pick-up arrangements, itinerary, and agreed price, will be confirmed with the client prior to the tour.

Unless otherwise agreed, standard private day tours do not require advance payment and payment may be made on the day of the tour.

For multi-day bookings, larger groups, customized programs, or bookings requiring advance arrangements with third-party service providers, Holy Land Steps reserves the right to require a deposit or advance payment in order to confirm the booking.

2. Deposits & Advance Payments

A deposit may be required when a booking involves multiple touring days, larger groups, hotels, transportation, entrance tickets, activities, reservations, or other services that must be arranged or paid for in advance.

The amount of the required deposit, payment deadline, and any applicable cancellation or refund conditions will be communicated to the client before payment is made.

Where Holy Land Steps has made non-refundable payments or financial commitments to third-party service providers on behalf of the client, such amounts may be non-refundable in the event of cancellation, subject to the conditions of the relevant service provider.

3. Cancellation of Standard Day Tours

Where no deposit or advance payment has been required for a standard day tour, Holy Land Steps does not normally impose a cancellation fee if the client cancels the tour before the service has commenced.

Clients are kindly requested to provide as much notice as reasonably possible when cancelling a confirmed booking.

Different cancellation conditions may apply to multi-day programs, large groups, customized arrangements, or bookings involving third-party services. Where applicable, these conditions will be communicated to the client as part of the booking arrangements

4. Payments

Tour and service prices will be agreed upon prior to the commencement of the service. Unless otherwise agreed, payment for standard day tours is due on the day the service is provided.

Different payment schedules may apply to multi-day tours, group bookings, packages, translation or interpretation assignments, and bookings involving third-party services.

Any additional services requested by the client that were not included in the original agreed price may be subject to additional charges.

5. Tour Itineraries & Changes

Tour itineraries published on the Holy Land Steps website are intended to describe the planned experience. Actual itineraries may be adjusted when circumstances make this necessary or advisable.

Holy Land Steps reserves the right to modify the order of visits, substitute sites, adjust the duration of individual visits, or make other reasonable itinerary changes due to opening hours, religious services, holidays, security restrictions, road conditions, traffic, weather, accessibility, instructions from authorities, unexpected closures, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Where possible, reasonable alternatives will be offered when a scheduled site cannot be visited.

6. Site Access & Third-Party Restrictions

Access to archaeological sites, national parks, religious institutions, museums, border areas, and other attractions is subject to the regulations, opening hours, security procedures, dress codes, and decisions of the authorities or organizations responsible for those locations.

Holy Land Steps cannot guarantee access to a particular site when access is restricted or denied by the relevant authorities or site management.

Clients are responsible for complying with applicable entry requirements, security instructions, dress codes, and rules of conduct at the places visited.

7. Delays & Circumstances Beyond Our Control

Holy Land Steps cannot be held responsible for delays, closures, itinerary changes, or the inability to provide part of an agreed itinerary resulting from circumstances reasonably beyond its control, including severe traffic disruption, weather conditions, strikes, demonstrations, security incidents, military or governmental restrictions, emergencies, natural events, or unexpected closures of sites.

Every reasonable effort will be made to adapt the itinerary and provide an appropriate alternative whenever circumstances permit.

8. Translation & Interpretation Services

Translation and interpretation services are provided professionally and in good faith with the aim of accurately conveying the meaning and content communicated by the relevant speaker, organization, client, or source.

Holy Land Steps does not assume responsibility for the factual accuracy, legality, opinions, claims, or statements contained in material supplied for translation or expressed by individuals for whom interpretation services are provided.

The client remains responsible for the original content and for determining whether translated or interpreted material is appropriate for its intended legal, commercial, political, religious, medical, administrative, or other specialized use.

9. Client Responsibility & Personal Belongings

Clients are responsible for their personal belongings throughout the tour or service. Holy Land Steps is not responsible for the loss, theft, or damage of personal belongings, luggage, electronic devices, documents, or other personal property, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded under applicable law.

Clients are expected to follow reasonable instructions provided by the tour guide, driver, site personnel, security personnel, or relevant authorities, particularly where such instructions concern safety, security, access, or local regulations.

10. Health, Medical Conditions, Allergies & Physical Suitability

Certain tours may involve extended walking, stairs, uneven surfaces, archaeological paths, tunnels, hills, exposure to heat or other weather conditions, swimming, or other activities that may require a reasonable level of physical fitness.

Clients are responsible for assessing whether a tour or activity is suitable for their individual circumstances and should inform Holy Land Steps in advance of any relevant medical condition, mobility limitation, disability, food allergy, dietary restriction, or other health-related matter that may reasonably affect their participation in the tour or require special arrangements.

This may include, where relevant, heart conditions, serious allergies, mobility difficulties, or other conditions that could be affected by the activities included in the itinerary. Clients are not expected to provide unnecessary private medical information, but should communicate information reasonably necessary for Holy Land Steps to understand any relevant requirements or limitations.

Where informed in advance, Holy Land Steps will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requirements or adapt the itinerary where practicable. However, Holy Land Steps cannot guarantee that every site, activity, restaurant, transportation provider, or other third-party service can accommodate all medical, mobility, dietary, or accessibility requirements.

Clients remain responsible for carrying any medication, medical equipment, or other personal health-related items they may require during the tour and for following the advice of their healthcare professionals regarding their ability to participate in particular activities.

11. Transportation & Third-Party Services

Holy Land Steps may coordinate or arrange services provided by independent third parties, including transportation providers, hotels, restaurants, attractions, museums, national parks, boat operators, activity providers, and other tourism-related services.

Such services remain subject to the operating conditions, availability, policies, and regulations of the relevant third-party provider.

Holy Land Steps will exercise reasonable care when arranging third-party services but cannot guarantee the performance of independent providers or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

12. Entrance Fees & Additional Expenses

Unless specifically stated otherwise in the tour description, quotation, or booking confirmation, entrance fees, meals, beverages, transportation, accommodation, personal expenses, and optional activities are not automatically included in the tour price.

Where entrance fees or other services are expressly stated as included, they will form part of the agreed service.

Clients are encouraged to confirm what is included in the price before the commencement of the tour.

13. Tour Duration & Additional Sites

The duration indicated on each tour page is an estimated duration and may vary depending on traffic, waiting times, security procedures, site opening hours, religious services, group pace, weather conditions, and other circumstances affecting the tour.

Holy Land Steps does not normally charge additional fees solely because a scheduled tour takes longer than its estimated duration.

If the client requests additional sites, activities, or services that are not included in the agreed itinerary, Holy Land Steps will make reasonable efforts to accommodate the request where time and circumstances permit. Such additions may be subject to an additional fee, particularly where they result in a significant extension of the originally agreed tour.

14. Photography, Filming & Use of Images

Photography and filming during tours are subject to the rules and restrictions of the individual sites visited. Certain religious sites, museums, archaeological sites, security-sensitive locations, or other attractions may restrict or prohibit photography, filming, drones, tripods, or other equipment. Clients are responsible for respecting such restrictions and any instructions issued by site personnel, security personnel, or relevant authorities.

Holy Land Steps may occasionally take photographs or videos during tours for documentation, website, social media, or other promotional purposes. Identifiable photographs or videos of clients may be published or used for such purposes when the individuals concerned have given their consent, which may include verbal consent where permitted by applicable law.

Clients who have agreed to the use of their photographs or videos may subsequently contact Holy Land Steps to request that specific content published on channels controlled by Holy Land Steps be removed. Holy Land Steps will make reasonable efforts to honor such requests, subject to applicable law and circumstances where the content may already have been shared, reproduced, or otherwise distributed beyond channels controlled by Holy Land Steps.

Holy Land Steps will endeavor to respect the privacy and preferences of its clients when taking and using photographs or videos.

15. Passports, Visas, Permits & Entry Requirements

Clients are responsible for carrying any passport, identification document, visa, permit, or other documentation required for their itinerary.

Holy Land Steps may provide general information concerning entry requirements or documents commonly requested during a tour; however, such information should not be considered legal or immigration advice.

Decisions regarding entry, exit, border crossings, permits, security clearance, or access to particular areas remain exclusively with the relevant authorities. Holy Land Steps cannot guarantee that any individual will be permitted to enter a country, territory, site, or restricted area.

16. Children & Minors

Children and minors participating in tours must remain under the supervision and responsibility of their parent, legal guardian, or accompanying responsible adult.

Parents or accompanying adults are responsible for determining whether particular activities, walking conditions, archaeological sites, or other elements of an itinerary are appropriate for the children in their care.

17. Safety, Security & Local Conditions

Travel in the region may occasionally be affected by security developments, demonstrations, road closures, governmental restrictions, religious events, or other rapidly changing circumstances.

Holy Land Steps reserves the right to modify, postpone, relocate, or discontinue any part of an itinerary where reasonably considered necessary because of safety, security, official instructions, or circumstances outside its reasonable control.

Clients are also expected to follow instructions issued by local authorities, security personnel, site management, and their tour guide.
