We begin our day with a scenic drive to Jericho, one of the world’s oldest cities, also known as the "City of Palm Trees." In Jericho, we will visit the Sycamore tree of Zacchaeus, a significant biblical site, and enjoy panoramic views of the Mount of Temptation, where, according to the New Testament, Satan tempted Jesus during His 40 days of fasting.
Continuing our journey, we drive through the Judean Desert and along the Dead Sea, heading toward the fortress of Masada. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Masada offers a remarkable history and breathtaking views that you can enjoy after ascending by cable car to the mountaintop fortress.
After our visit to Masada, we proceed to Qumran, the site where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered. This archaeological site holds deep historical and religious significance, providing insight into the ancient Jewish community that lived there.
Next, we visit the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth. Here, you’ll have free time to float in its mineral-rich waters, renowned for their healing properties. You can also cover yourself with the therapeutic mud, a popular treatment for various skin conditions.
Our day concludes with a scenic drive back to Jerusalem through the Judean Desert, offering beautiful views of the desert landscape as we reflect on the historic and spiritual sites we’ve visited.
