Faith, Power, & Memory Tour Cross, Crown, & Remembrance

This exceptional tour begins with a visit to the Hasmonean fortress of Herodium, located in the Judean Hills. We’ll begin by taking in the stunning panoramic views from the summit of Herodium, where you can see Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Judean Desert, and even the Dead Sea stretching out before you. This remarkable viewpoint offers a unique perspective of the region’s history and natural beauty.

We will then explore how people lived in ancient times and how the site evolved into a defensive fortress. A key highlight of the visit is the chance to go underground and walk through the nearly 2,000-year-old tunnels carved inside the mountain. You’ll also visit the remains of the tomb of King Herod the Great, who chose this location to be buried, as it was where his mother, Cypros, had passed away.

Next, we head to the city of Bethlehem, starting with a visit to the Shepherds’ Field, where the Annunciation to the shepherds about the birth of Jesus took place. From there, we continue to Manger Square and the Church of the Nativity, the sacred site where Jesus was born and laid in a manger. We will also visit the exact spot of His birth, one of the most important Christian pilgrimage sites.

Leaving Bethlehem, we make our way to Yad Vashem, Israel’s official Holocaust memorial. At this deeply moving museum, we will learn about the horrors of the Holocaust through powerful exhibits, personal stories, and memorials dedicated to the victims and survivors. It’s a poignant experience that honors the memory of those who suffered during this tragic period in history.

The tour concludes with a scenic drive back to Jerusalem, reflecting on the profound historical and spiritual sites we’ve visited throughout the day.
