Echoes of Faith "Megiddo, Nazareth, & Transfiguration"

We begin our journey to the Galilee, driving through the Valley of Armageddon and stopping at the ancient site of Tel Megiddo, a location with a rich history spanning various time periods. From Tel Megiddo, we’ll have a view of Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfiguration of Jesus, where Jesus was transformed alongside Moses and Elijah in the presence of Peter, James, and John. We’ll visit the Church of the Transfiguration, which commemorates this significant event in Christian history.

Our next stop is Nazareth in Lower Galilee, where we’ll visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and the House of the Virgin Mary, marking the place where the Word became flesh. Nearby, we’ll explore the Church of St. Joseph, traditionally believed to be the site of Jesus’ earthly father’s carpentry workshop.

Before leaving Nazareth, we’ll make our way to Mount Precipice, where we’ll enjoy breathtaking views of the Jezreel Valley and the surrounding areas.

We conclude the day with a drive back to Jerusalem, reflecting on the rich history and spiritual significance of the sites we've visited.
